This document will guide you through which sounds should be your top priorities in order to improve the clarity of your spoken English.
If you have our book Work On Your Accent (2nd Edition), we'll even include page numbers to direct you to the exercises you should focus on.
Your Accent Action Plan is 1-2 A4 sides long, and is accompanied by an audio recording where we show you exactly what we mean.

Who will benefit from this service?
This course is for you if you regularly speak in English, but it isn’t your first language. Anyone who would like to know which parts of their accent to work on to make pronunciation progress and achieve your accent goals
My English level is very high - will I benefit from this service?
Absolutely! We love helping people to identify the very high level details that will help you to achieve your accent goals. Helen & Sarah's background is working on major Hollywood blockbuster movies, dealing with very tiny adjustments that make the difference between pretty good, and flawless. So we can definitely hear and help with those teeny tiny features that might otherwise get overlooked.
My English level is low - will this service benefit me?
This material is going to help your English level get higher! It can be overwhelming to know where to start. This service will help you to prioritise, not sweat the small stuff, and focus on the areas that are going to have the maximum impact.
What if I still have questions after receiving my analysis?
We hope that everything will be very clear and make complete sense to you. However, if you would like to book a follow-up session for extra help with anything identified in the analysis, we will offer this to you at a discounted rate. How long will it take to recieve my Action Plan?
You will receive your analysis within 7 working days of sending us your recordings.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
Once we have started work on this analysis, no refunds are possible as we charge for the time that the analysis takes us. If you have purchased in error, please get in touch with us ASAP. If we haven't started the analysis yet, we'll happily refund you.
Do I need to know phonetics to understand my Accent Action Plan?
No, you don't. We use keywords to refer to each vowel and consonant sound. For example, we might reference the /i:/ sound as in ME, or the /v/ sound as in VET.
Do I need to own a copy of your book to use this service?
No you don't. If you don't have the book, we can still let you know which speech sounds to focus on. The only difference is that if you have the book, we can direct you straight to the relevant exercises that will help you address the issue we've identified. We think that the two work really well together. But they can certainly be used independently too.
